New features launched!

Today we launched a group of new features, mostly focused on giving our hosts more ability to customize their invitations. The new features make it easy to crop photos and choose fonts, colors, and layouts. We've also added some formatting control, which is something many of our hosts have asked for. These new features will are found in the invite layout tab. Rather than go into detail, writing about something that's really a visual and esthetic thing, I'd suggest giving the new features a try!

Our development team has also been hard at work finding and fixing the bugs and glitches that are inevitable in a web application like pingg. We do our best to make every release and new feature perfect, but we're only human and things do sometimes get through. I'd like to thank our hosts who've taken the time to write to support@pingg.com to ask questions, and let us know about problems they discover.

how long until we can access external databases? either SQL or even Google Spreadsheets? not having to download updated lists via CSV and then upload again would be really good.

Actually, wouldn't the best thing be to use an "import from gmail, etc." feature like facebook has?

All in all, great service. So much less tacky than evite.

First of all, great application! You've got the best aesthetic and usability in my opinion. It would be great to have some voting functionality as well, which seems to be something missing on all non-evite services.

Thanks for the new options on layout etc. They are much appreciated. I'm an excited iphone owner now and have sent a request via feedback for an iphone app - apparently it's on the list but I hope it's fairly high on the list. I think evite have an app there already - an iphone/web friendly version would be terrific along the lines of the typepad app that make it easy just to do basic things like add a simple invite or view existing ones.

I agree about the database importing as suggested below...that would be very helpful.

Keep up the brilliant work - I'm about to start using the sms facility and will also forward this onto all my event manager contacts!!!

cheers, Helen

It would be great if you could make the "Maybe" RSVP option optional and set an RSVP by time limit.
